Take Up The Challenge Against Pancreatic Cancer!
Beat Fest is the only music event of its kind in Tasmania. Beat Fest is an annual music fundraising event with the goal to raise awareness, and much needed funds to donate to the Pancare Foundation, a national not-for-profit increasing survival rates and supporting people affected by pancreatic and other upper gastrointestinal cancers as well as supporting world-leading research.

Approximately 3,123 Australians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. 2,823 of those people will die from this disease.

Pancreatic cancer currently is the 5th most common cause of cancer death in Australia, but by the year 2030, is estimated to become the second leading cause. It currently has one of the lowest five year survival rate of all major cancers, at just 6.2% and this statistic hasn't had significant change in more than 40 years.

Pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms. Symptoms often only appear once the cancer is large enough to affect nearby organs, or has spread.

Beat Fest holds a number of different fundraisers throughout the year in the lead up to the Beat Fest Concert. With your help, we hope to shine a light on this terrible cancer and create more awareness.
